Product description

FolkTale’s Clurichaun is a rich ginger country wine. Fermented at a higher temperature to enhance the fruity esters produced by the specially selected yeast strain. It all comes together and blends fantastically with the lively ginger spice to create a fine-tasting ginger wine.

Lovers of Clurichaun enjoy it as a warm night-cap on cold winter’s night or mixed with lemonade on hot summer days.

Mythology behind the name of FolkTale Country Wine

The Red Cap

Unlike their cousins the Leprechaun, who are renowned for their green outfits, shillelagh wielding, and granting wishes. The Clurichaun are known for their more, unruly antics.

But the red-capped Clurichaun chooses to wield mugs and inhabit breweries, taverns, cellars or any other place that has enough liquor to satisfy their thirst.

They would often be seen going on drunken rampages and riding sheep or dogs at night and causing havoc in the village and fields.

If the tavern owner treated them well, Clurichaun made great guardians of the cellars. With their brutish and chaotic natures, they would beat drunkards or servants that stole from the cellars. If treated poorly they would vandalise the cellars, spoiling the wine.
